Coronavirus updates: World Health Organization says “the pandemic is accelerating”

At least 533,029 people have contracted the novel coronavirus and over 24,096 have died. People recovered 124,394 . The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 199 countries and territories around the world.

Global lockdowns: Nearly a third of the world’s population are living under coronavirus-related restrictions

Mainland China: The country’s National Health Commission reported 67 new imported coronavirus cases yesterday, but no new locally transmitted ones. The rate of new infections within the country has slowed significantly.
Numbers in mainland China as of the end of yesterday81,285 confirmed, 3,287 deaths, 74,051 recovered and discharged from hospital.

U.S. has most cases in world after passing China: There are now more than 85,000 cases in America and nearly 1,300 deaths.

Italy: The total number of cases there reached 80.589, a total of 8.215 deaths.

Infection cases in Iran reported 29,406 , while Spain reported the third-most cases outside China with 57,786.
Germany reported 43,938.

UK: The death toll has risen to 578, health officials have confirmed, with 11,658 confirmed cases. The number of coronavirus deaths in the UK has jumped by more than 100 in a day for the first time.

India has recorded 724 cases so far and 17 deaths.

There have been  840  cases of coronavirus infections reported in Russia so far and 3 death.

New Zealand: Authorities confirmed 73 new coronavirus patients and identified five more probable cases 

Olympics in doubt: Canada is the first country to announce it won’t send a team to this year’s Tokyo Olympics. Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said postponing the Games is a possibility.

China: Foreign airlines limited to one flight per week starting Sunday. Chindadaily

United States: US-Canada border crossing limits are expected. Travel from the UK and Ireland suspended as well as the 26 countries in Europe’s the Schengen Area free movement zone. Travelers from China and Iran in the last 14 days are also not allowed to enter.

Australia: Australia requires “all people” arriving in the country to self-quarantine for 14 days. Travelers who have been in China, Iran, South Korea or Italy in the last 14 days are not allowed to enter or transit for 14 days.

Cambodia: A ban onforeign nationals arriving from Italy, Germany, Spain, France and the US for 30 days from March 17.

Canada: Entry is denied to people who are not Canadian citizens, US citizens or permanent residents. US-Canada border crossing limits are expected.

Cape Verde: From March 17 a three-week suspension of all incoming flights from Portugal and all EU countries affected by the pandemic, and from the US, Brazil, Senegal and Nigeria.

China: All international arrivals to Beijing must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated facilities and at their own cost. Arrivals from Iran, Italy, Japan or Korea and traveling to Beijing, Guangzhou or Shanghai are subject to quarantine for 14 days. Shanghai has listed 12 countries from which arriving travelers will be quarantined for 14 days.



Hong Kong ramps up epidemic-prevention measures to curb COVID-19 spread. Hong Kong will ban the entry of all non-Hong Kong residents arriving from overseas by flights.

For back to office time
There is no a certain date to go back to the office regulated by Hainan government, it only suggest that if your work is required necessarily to go to office to do, companies have to take thorough preventions to protect your employees, every single employee has to report to the neighborhood committee which you belong to before going back to offices.
